Coffeehouse
Thursday June 11, 2026 9:30am - 9:00pm EDT
Join us for an unforgettable final morning of soul-stirring expression at our Cantorial Convention Coffeehouse/Open Mic program. In the warm, welcoming glow of candlelight and coffee, we’ll gather as colleagues and kindred spirits to share more than just melodies—we’ll share our hearts. This is a space for vulnerability, creativity, and connection. Whether through original songs, spontaneous harmonies, spoken word, or storytelling, this is your chance to step up to the mic and let your soul speak. Bring a poem that’s been sitting in your journal, a niggun that’s been echoing in your heart, or a piece of Torah that’s been longing to be shared. In this sacred, supportive space, we’ll celebrate not just polished performance, but raw authenticity. We’ll bear witness to one another’s stories, struggles, laughter, and longing—expressed through the powerful tools we as cantors know best: voice, language, and presence.  Come with a piece to share, or come to listen and be moved. The coffee is hot, the room is full of ruach, and your voice is welcome here.

Does My Bridge Lead To Israel?
Thursday June 11, 2026 11:00am - 9:00pm EDT
The Theme of our Convention is “Repairing the World, One Bridge at a Time” –
As we begin this last session of our Convention, each of us gets back on whatever bridge takes us home.
Since 2020, my home has been in Israel.
I will be joined by Cantors Assembly Colleagues who share this reality.
In order of who came to Israel first, I will be joined by
Yossi Zucker, Gordon Piltch, Elana Rozenfeld, Sid Dworkin and Israel Gordan.

I’ll tell you a little about each of them and some basic facts of their journey.

Then we’ll examine a number of questions and take turns with short responses on what I hope are important topics in this discussion – and we’ll also have an opportunity for you to inquire into what interests you – reflecting your interest in our lived experiences and perhaps your aspirational experiences for the next year, decade, etc.
